Getting a good foundation is essential to anything you do. It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or an experienced professional, there’s always room to upgrade your skill-set and fasten up your workflow. During this course, our team of well-trained, experienced, and up-to-date instructors will guide you through the construction of a song. You will learn everything from the basics of music theory — including rhythm patterns, scales, and chord progressions — to the most useful functions in Ableton Live, to editing, and using effects. After finishing the course you will be able to make a short musical idea with both rhythmic and melodic elements, such as drums, bass, chords, effects and you will also be able to draw out a musical arrangement to your song.

what do i need to have for the course?
Our experience shows that students prefer using their own gear. On this course you will need your laptop, a pair of headphones, and a copy of Ableton Live.
do i need to buy ableton live for this course?
It is always a good idea to have the full version of software but if you can’t afford it just yet, don’t worry: this 4-week course was specifically designed to be a perfect testing challenge to the 30-day trial version of Live.
